BCARES (Boulder County Amateur Radio Emergency Service) is a volunteer organization of licensed Amateur Radio enthusiasts formed for the express purpose of providing communication and public service pertaining to the protection of life and/or property, in support of local, state, and federal agencies who may need supplemental communication in times of natural or man made events. The 2011 BCARES annual meeting was held January 21, 2011 at the Boulder County Clerk and Recorders Office. Many members were in attendance.

Jim Kubitschek (KG0HU) has stepped down after many years on the Board. Thanks again for all his years of service.

The Board met February 10th. Congratulation to Allen Bishop, the new Chairman and EC for BCARES.

 

Training Opportunity--February 18th ATV training 0830hrs at the BARC club location, Executive Terminal at the Boulder County Airport. Contact George Weber (KA0BSA) for more information.

March 19th will be Packet/Pactor/Digital communication.
